The benefits of lime
Lime is an ornamental tree that can grow to a height of 30 to 40 metres. Its highly fragrant flowers are known for their soothing benefits when taken in an infusion. Lime is known to help encourage better sleep, to reduce tension and irritability (in a dose of 1.8 to 2 g/day as an infusion), to maintain relaxation and sound sleep (10 g/day of blossom) and to promote sleep (4 g/day as an infusion).
Lime sapwood, the tender part of the trunk located just under the bark, is known to regulate glucose and cholesterol metabolism (in a dose of 1 tsp of macerated plant), to facilitate the body's elimination functions (315 mg per day), to facilitate digestion (5 to 10 g/day of lime sapwood) and to contribute to digestive well-being (wood).
