The benefits of cinnamon
Cinnamon is in fact the inner bark of a small tree grown in tropical regions. It is frequently used in cooking, particularly to flavour desserts. In aromatherapy, its oil is used for its stimulating and invigorating properties (in a dose of 1.5 to 4 g/day of bark). This oil also has recognised antioxidant properties (in a dose of 0.1 to 1g/day of powder or 1.5 to 4g/day) and contributes to the maintenance of healthy blood sugar levels (0.5 to 3g/day of bark).
