The plant that promotes healthy skin!
Burdock (Arctium lappa) is known for its rough, broad leaves and grows in abundance by roadsides. It contains inulin, mucilage, polyphenols and an essential oil. Its root is primarily used to facilitate digestion and increase the elimination of water through the kidneys (in a dose of 200mg/day). It is also employed in cosmetics, particularly in hair care and for use on greasy or combination skin with a tendency to acne: its roots are known to help maintain healthy skin.
