Blackcurrant
The properties of blackcurrant leaves
The blackcurrant is a bushy shrub, native to the Nordic countries, which produces small black berries with a delicious tangy flavour. All parts of the plant are used in herbal medicine (fruit, roots and leaves). Its leaves are particularly high in flavonoids and proanthocyanidols. Blackcurrant is known to contribute to the maintenance of normal muscle and joint function.
