Known since ancient times
The almond is a fruit that may be eaten dried (it is one of the traditional 13 desserts of a Provencal Christmas), in praline form or as a sugar-coated sweet. It is also the main ingredient of almond paste and frangipane. Sweet almond oil is extracted from almond kernels. It has been known since ancient times for its hydrating, toning and softening properties. This oil, which is rich in vitamin A, is ideal for dry, fragile or irritated skin.
